A Masterclass in Allyship: A Positively Disruptive Conversation With Dr. Kevin Frick- Tenured Professor at Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business| DEI Disruptors
Description
Kevin Frick is a professor at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School with joint appointments in the School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health. At Carey, Frick has taught microeconomic foundations for managerial decision-making, healthcare financing, and frameworks for analyzing healthcare markets. Frick studied health policy and administration as an undergraduate at Penn State, which he followed with graduate training in economics and health services research at the University of Michigan. In 1996, he joined the faculty of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He moved to a leadership position at the Carey Business School in 2013 and returned to exclusively a faculty role in 2021. Much of Frick’s research has focused on measuring costs associated with diseases or measuring the cost-effectiveness of new treatments, care systems, or community-based interventions. His most frequent area of focus is public and private eye care. In addition, he has specialized in linking peer-reviewed research from public health and medical journals with the information business leaders need to make decisions about companies that operate in the real-world marketplace. He works with the LGBTQ+ community, among others, at JHU to create a safe space for all.
